In short sequences across the city, art educators Antonia Gruber and Floria Maria Ude visited selected Photoszene United exhibitions during the Photoszene Festival 2021. In the process, their tour took them through Cologne's multifaceted art scene, from the independent art space, to the gallery and the museum, and also shows in the aftermath of the 2021 festival how versatile the photography scene in Cologne is.

In the first edition of "Durch die Stadt mit..." we talk to a very dedicated artist duo about their exhibition at Kulturkirche Ost. Feli and Pepita talk about the genesis of the photo project "In My Room" to their book tied to the exhibition and the same. The artist duo photographed over sixty children and young people in their rooms and conducted interviews with them.

In the third edition „Durch die Stadt mit…“ we are guests in the community of Cologne and talk with the artist Btihal Remli about her exhibition, which shows visual notes of the last three years - writing, illustrations, video, photographs and artifacts are installed in the space and tell with restraint and clarity about the search for the Djinn.

Gerd Bonfert's always analog photographs visualize time and thus make things visible that the human eye cannot grasp. To this day, the artist resolutely refrains from any technical manipulation of his prints, without this becoming a mannerism. Dietmar Schneider has accompanied the art scene with his camera since the 1960s. In the process, numerous portraits of artists were created, which were edited by those portrayed, supplemented or corrected in the sense of their work, and finally sent back to Schneider.

From antique murals to baroque still lifes and contemporary photography: flowers are among the most popular motifs in art history. For 25 years, Anna Halm Schudel has been working with this traditional subject. She celebrates the bright colors and variety of forms. Durch die Stadt mit... Sissi privat. Die Fotoalben einer Kaiserin
Like many women of the upper classes, Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary, known as Sisi, collected portrait photographs in the 1860s. The Museum Ludwig holds eighteen of her albums with about 2,000 photographs. On them are nobles - many members of Elisabeth's family - celebrities and works of art. Sisi used these highly staged images to contour her own image. Antonia Gruber and Floria Marie Ude in conversation with curator Miriam Szwast.
