During the 2025 Photoszene Festival, the photo book quartet came together in the temporary Photo Pavilion, and this time Frank Dürrach and Damian Zimmermann invited former Deichtorhallen curator Ingo Taubhorn and Folkwang professor Elisabeth Neudörfl as guests.
Frank presents the third book of the evening: “Malparaíso” by Juan Miguel Ramírez-Suassi. It is a kind of road trip through a dystopian utopia, through a non-place, with images full of mystery. While Elisabeth describes the book as a whiny man's view of the world, Damian is more enthusiastic about the overall mood of the book and the quality of the individual photographs.
