Helin Sezen Korkmaz

Helin Sezen Korkmaz is a media artist and curator, as well as a student at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne. She curates, designs, and reimagines spaces through installations and sound arrangements to uncover the power dynamics embedded within them. In her research, she takes a critical look at the Orientalism hidden behind the Western canon and seeks to subvert this romanticizing gaze through fictional narratives. Artistic research provides her with a space to question historiography in its current form and to fill its gaps with speculative fiction. She lives and works in Cologne and Istanbul.
