In her large-scale RISO installation Antonia Gruber causes the blue dahlia to grow into a symbol of longing, resistance and emancipation. The work reflects patriarchal structures and objectification and makes reference to the blue flower of Romanticism. The installation is completed by the series BLUE DAHILIA_, which transposes female role models of the past onto the present day and reflects on feminist issues as well as the ambivalence between projection from outside and self-perception.
