Not bowing to commerce, only to the personal need to take a very close look: WEGSEHEN ZWECKLOS (looking away futile) explores the inescapability of looking – from sociopolitical contexts, individual standpoints, through to formal experiments. Curated by Sebastian H. Schroeder, forty photographers from Freelens association exhibit around 300 works. Their aim: to illustrate photography’s cultural relevance and enter into dialogue: “We want to talk about what moves us and what you see!”.
