As part of Artist Meets Archive #4, Catalan artist Andrés Galeano explored a special stone fragment from the Cologne Cathedral archives. His exhibition X-DBA-00408 in Cologne Cathedral traces the stone's extraordinary journey to the International Space Station ISS in 2014.

Andrés Galeano and Matthias Deml (Head of the Cathedral Building Archive) report on the exciting background to the space flight and discuss key questions about the project.

How did this curious story come about? What fascinated the artist about it? What does it tell us about faith in things - and in photography?

And what actually became of the astronaut's wish to reinstall the fragment in the cathedral after his return?

Kölner Domverlag has published a book on the project, which will also be presented.
