Together with its partners, the Deutsche Kinder- und Jugendfilmzentrum, the SK Stiftung Kultur and the jfc Medienzentrum, the International Photoscene Cologne organises NEXT! a festival by, for and with children, youths and young adults.

We accompany and initiate projects and workshops with photo-enthusiastic participants up to the age of 25. The results are presented at the NEXT! Festival. 

At the NEXT! Festival the stage belongs to the young producers!

The contributions for the 2023 festival were developed by: Pupils from the Adolph Kolping Hauptschule in Kalk together with the TREFFER youth centre, pupils from the Holweide Comprehensive School from the AMA Jr. project, young people from the Realschule Im Hasental in Deutz, as well as a class from the Katharina-Henoth-Gesamtschule in Kalk, and the camera children from the jfc media centre.

The medium is the message: photography can do so much!  Come along and join in! There are:

This year the NEXT! Festival will take place as part of the Photoszene Festival and thus also offer contact and access to many other events and exhibitions and its protagonists: inside!

The 2023 programme of NEXT! will be available on the website from April.
