LOOM UP

Exhibition Festival 2023 Guided Tour 2023

In spite of appearances sometimes, artistic photography is not about illustrating what we can see with the naked eye. The aim is to render visible. Any location can conceal intriguing stories, the telling of which alters from one moment to the next or, now and again, goes astray. Peter Braunholz detects these narratives and captures them. In the process, he is less concerned with the 'what' than with the 'how': the continuous onward development of a gaze which penetrates the essence of spaces and objects and uncovers their secret coherence and connections.
