For the first time, the festival is organising an international photobook market together with the Thousandfold Photobook Fair on the opening weekend at the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum. 

This year, the Rautenstrauch-Joest-Museum will be the festival centre in the heart of the city and will host the exhibition of South African artist Lebohang Kganye. On another level of the building, more than 40 international students will show highly topical perspectives of a multi-voiced present in over 40 photo books under the title 'FIRST PAGES' as part of the exhibition series 'Counter Images | Gegenbilder'. 

In this environment, more than 25 national and international publishers and artists will present themselves at the Thousandfold Photobook Fair:

Thousandfold Photobook Fair is a self-supporting photobook fair that supports independent photobook publishers and self-published photographers. It works with festivals and initiatives to create a cultural programme around the photobook, connect publishers with their audiences and bring together lovers of photography and photobooks. Thousandfold Photobook Fair is organised by dienacht e.V. and run by Calin Kruse (dienacht Publishing / Leipzig Photobook Festival).
