Julia Richard

Julia Richard (Germany/Dominican Republic) is a social and cultural anthropologist specializing in visual and material culture. She studied anthropology and heritage and memory studies in Heidelberg, Granada, and Amsterdam. From 2023 to 2025, she worked at the Ethnological Museum/Central Archive of the State Museums of Berlin in the field of postcolonial provenance research. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. on photography in the context of the Black Atlantic.
