That was Photoszene-Festival 2025
The main curatorial program included the Artist Meets Archive program, for which the five international artists Jimmi Wing Ka Ho, Elena Efeoglou, Marta Bogdańska, Andrés Galeano and Pauline Hafsia M'barek have worked with five Cologne archives and collections and were using their research to develop exhibitions for the festival at the Kölnisches Stadtmuseum, at the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum, the Museum Ludwig, Cologne Cathedral and the Photographische Sammlung/SK Stiftung Kultur, as well as a group exhibition from an open call with the theme Feelings & Photography. In addition, numerous participating exhibitions showed the great diversity of photography. There was also an extensive supporting program of artist talks, guided tours, workshops and, with Another State of Mind, a symposium on feelings in photography in cooperation with the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. The principle of participation and involvement continues to be an essential feature of the International Photoscene Cologne. A total of 99 photography exhibitions in the museums, galleries, studios and art spaces were part of the festival!
